Where is the Tri-X??

I was looking to buy some Tri-X in 35mm and 120 . But seems it is either back ordered or being rationed. Even up here in Canada. Some vendors are selling limited amounts per week and tracking your purchases so you do not hoard up. Why is Kodak slow on the supply of Tri-X?

Same problem here in Brazil. My local lab in Brasilia has run out of all Kodak film and said to me that Kodak (Brazil) has given them no indication of when films will become available again. The lab has even run out of development chemicals and has stopped processing films entirely.

I have it all in my freezer!*  Out of date, of course, but probably held in time at the moment when it was frozen. Which is all a bit silly, as I don't care very much for Tri-X.

*9 rolls 120, 10 rolls 35mm, and 10x100ft bulk.

There appears to be plenty in the UK, but maybe it's not selling because of the price.

Spot on. Checking at AG Photographic, HP5 is under half the price of TriX. (In my case even less as I self-load HP5). In my experience there is nothing that contemporary TriX does that HP5+ does not do better.

You could sell some of those 100ft rolls and retire.

Actually my plan is to use as much of them as I can before I pop my clogs. 😀
