echorec Posted September 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 5, 2007 Congratulations! Is that an Elmar 5cm/3.5?
like-a-leica Posted September 6, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted September 6, 2007 Yes, it is. Have you used one? I was very happy with the first film, the only problem was a bit of parallax error in close up shots (on a few shots the motive was a little further to the left than I had planned). I suppose the viewfinder takes a bit of getting used to. All in all, the camera is a joy to use, even more fun than my M2. Andrew
earleygallery Posted September 6, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 6, 2007 Well it seems to have survived the washing machine OK - I only ever find old tissues/tickets/sweets in the laundry! The LTM's are a pleasure to use, once you are used to them, and the 5cm Elmar is a superb lens by any standards. The viewfinder is about as basic as they get, no frames or parralax but you do get used to it.
