ann tracy Posted December 5, 2021 Share #1 Posted December 5, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi... I'm new here. But I have a problem getting the battery out of my VLUX 5. When I press the little blue thing that is supposed to make the battery pop up, it doesn't do it. Anyone else have this problem? thanks Ann
Advertisement Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Hi ann tracy, Take a look here Can't Get Battery out of V-Lux 5. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted December 6, 2021 Share #2 Posted December 6, 2021 That probably means that the battery is dead - they tend to swell when that happens. You'll have to lever it out.
wda Posted December 6, 2021 Share #3 Posted December 6, 2021 Welcome, Ann. Can you give more information? Was the camera in regular use right up tt the moment the battery power was depleted? Or had it been lying unused for some time in a depleted state?
dkCambridgeshire Posted December 7, 2021 Share #4 Posted December 7, 2021 (edited) Extra strong double sided tape on a rubber eraser or similar .. press on the battery and pull it out .. Is it a third party (non-Leica) battery? Third party batteries can swell and lodge in the battery compartment .. if swollen dispose of it safely ... could be a fire risk dunk Edited December 7, 2021 by dkCambridgeshire
