papimuzo Posted September 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 5, 2007 Here (Switzerland) also Leica free filters arrived yesterday by FEDEX! Just 1 month ( ) exactly after registration: turnover seems reasonable now... I'll keep these as I already bought B&W's for my lenses, and 'll use the Leicas for the future Summarits 2.5 to be ready in Autumn;) All the best to all. vanhulsenbeek Posted September 5, 2007 Share #5 Posted September 5, 2007 Just 1 month ( ) exactly after registration: turnover seems reasonable now... In the Netherlands I ordered end March. The first filter (39) arrived in May and the second (67)in July, just one week before I departed for a month in Indonesia. The second was very welcome to complement my WATE and included the filter holder and the special plastic ring: a nice touch. As this all came for free, I am quite pleased with this Leica service. marknorton Posted September 5, 2007 Share #6 Posted September 5, 2007 Can someone post a picture of this "special plastic ring"? I bought two of them and there was no such ring. Sounds like a hasty after-thought after they found the stray reflections from the holes.

Can you honestly say it's free? I think all M8 owners have paid a price, and then some, for the hassles associated with the basic need for these filters, the short supplies and delays in shipments. It said so on the invoice :-) But you are right, and then: nothing in life comes without its price. In the Netherlands we say: only the sun rises in the morning for free. Artorius Posted September 6, 2007 Share #11 Posted September 6, 2007 My M8 arrives tomorrow. What size filters does Leica provide. I haven't seen their info about them. I would imagine 39mm for sure, but what else?

Artorius Posted September 6, 2007 Share #13 Posted September 6, 2007 Art: Once your camera arrives, go here (LEICA M8 Registration) Best, Riccis Thank-you for the address. Is there a reason Leica list available filter sizes?
Shootist Posted September 6, 2007 Author Share #14 Posted September 6, 2007 Thank-you for the address. Is there a reason Leica list available filter sizes? Sorry I don't understand your question. Why wouldn't they list the filter sizes they offer.
