ymc226 Posted December 2, 2021 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I credit Jaapv with letting me know about Topaz DeNoise AI which really improves high ISO noise in my opinion. How high can one go with ISO now? Before these more advanced noise reduction products, my ISO limit on the M10R was 6400 and M10 Monochrom was 12,500. Now I will try 25,000 on the M10R and 50,000 on the M10 Monochrom.
Advertisement Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 Hi ymc226, Take a look here M10R and M10 Monochrom maximum ISO if post processing with Topaz DeNoise AI. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Bikie John Posted December 2, 2021 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2021 I may be wrong, but I don't think Topaz will directly open raw files from any generation of Monochrom - it likes to have colour data to work with. It might work with out-of-camera JPEGs, or if you open the raw file in an editor and make sure it is in a colour mode rather than greyscale. I haven't used Topaz all that much, but in general I have found it is most effective on files from older cameras where the low light performance was less good. Of course that doesn't mean it can't improve newer ones too. John
