redrocksjoe Posted November 20, 2021 Share #1 Posted November 20, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) For a photography forum the many bags and cases threads are woefully lacking in photos. Post the bags you use and like, but you have to include pictures. First up is my favorite insert, the Greenroom136 Kitpouch size XS. https://www.greenroom136.com/shop/KitPouch-p36042429. Advertisement Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Hi redrocksjoe, Take a look here Q2 Case/Bag Thread - Pics required. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
redrocksjoe Posted November 20, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) Next up is my least favorite and by far the most expensive option. The Artisan & Artist ACAM-76 Camera Pouch . This is just overpriced garbage. The padding is about 2mm thick, the closure is messy and fiddly to use. I would not use this, a reusable lunch bag is better protection. If you dropped your camera this would provide no protection at all. Welcome, dear visitor! redrocksjoe Posted November 20, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) The Crumpler Pleasure Dome is a nice little case to hold the Q2 without the grip. With the grip it is a pretty tight fit, but not impossible. You can use this alone, on your backpack belt or as an insert. Welcome, dear visitor! redrocksjoe Posted November 20, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted November 20, 2021 The EVOC Hip Pack Capture 7L is quite possibly the perfect waist pack for bike riding with your Q2. It has enough rigidity that you can open the top and grab your camera quickly, and room for an extra layer inside. I particularly like the side water bottle pocket for holding the RRS tabletop tripod. The only drawback, no safe spot for your wallet and keys. Welcome, dear visitor! redrocksjoe Posted November 20, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted November 20, 2021 Another bag from Greenroom136 I really like is the Metrodrifter. It has a subdued casual look, super well made and room for the Q2 with grip and just a bit more. There is no padding, I use the Greenroom136 XS Kitpouch in it, but the S fits as well. redrocksjoe Posted November 20, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted November 20, 2021 Then this neat made in the USA fanny pack holds the Leica Q2 in some sort of padded pouch (domke wrap, etc) and what you need for an after work ride or morning dog walk. That is the greenroom136 metrodrifter https://www.greenroom136.com/shop/Metrodrifter-c34395498. I’ve always purchased direct from them. I have 5 of their bags and they are all fantastic. I use their courier bag (bootstrap) as my laptop bag and their backpack for work travel. Super quick international shipping too. -Joe
