duoenboge Posted November 13, 2021 Share #2 Posted November 13, 2021 At first glance a beautiful, lively portrait of a very beautiful person. At second glance it bothers me (my very personal opinion) that the eye that is further away is much sharper than the eye that is closer.
Chazphoto Posted November 20, 2021 Share #3 Posted November 20, 2021 Interesting comment and generally I agree that the nearest eye should be the sharpest, but in this photo it doesn't bother me. I used to find this hard to achieve with 85mm f1.4 manual lenses on Contax SLRs and then with Minolta and Nikon AF lenses on film and digital SLRs, let alone with the M and a Noctilux. I suspect that with this image, the overall impression, tilt of head and upward look is working so well that I'm not distracted by the rear-eye having sharper focus than the front. It is a great photo, by the way. Cheers Chazphoto
Chazphoto Posted November 20, 2021 Share #4 Posted November 20, 2021 Actually, taking my cue from your title, do you remember the white balance you used and the lighting conditions? Would be interested to know, given the colour you've achieved. I suppose that question assumes no PP, but still interested in knowing what you did. thanks
