I am experiencing a strange behaviour with my SL2-S and attached Atomos Ninja V recorder:

If I set the camera to any 35mm resolution, it triggers the ninja when pressing the shutter as expected.

If I change resolution to APS-C pressing the shutter does NOT trigger the ninja.

Any hints welcome - thanks in advance!

### actual firmware is installed on SL2-S and Ninja ###

uuups - sorry, I have not been notified about your answer.

After checking everything and doingt some more experiments I found, that the camera triggers the ninja with every Movie/Compression setting only,. if there are NO SD-cards inserted in the camera. Once you have SD-cards in the cam, it only triggers the ninja with some but not all settings. Whatever sense this makes...

I AM USING THE atomos shinobi 7 monitor with the SL2

One option missing in this setup is the record frame line on the monitor.

most of the time I can only look at one monitor when holding and filming at the same time. there is no visual signal on the monitor that I am recording on the camera.

looking down on the monitor on top of hot-shoe I can't even see the camera back screen. The only feedback is a gray dot on the OLED top screen..

oh my god so i was on a job almost a year ago and this started happening, so we shot to card and had to deal with the crop..

I kept meaning to investigate, and FINALLY got it out again today.. and googled.. and yes. There was a goddamned SD card in the camera. Took it out and it worked fine. Why am i like this?
