I wouldn't like a lot to have a half ring, even "soft", between lens and body flange... it's a delicate coupling... a ring of paper ok (but undurable, as the author says) but HALF a ring with a certain solidity (has to be rotated, it seems) must have a certain thickness... I bet that the final assembly lens + half ring + body can result a so-so... BTW... I didn't know the existence of this RF forum... I already spend a lot of time hereby... but fine to find that there is also the 120 RF section... I have an old Super Ikonta...I'll mark it on my preferences...
