Anybody try using an extension bellows for macro?  Here's one I noticed.  https://www.novoflex.de/en/products-637/macro/extension-bellows/automatic-bellows-units-937/bal-let_en.html

I'm thinking of trying wide angle macro photography, and this would allow me to use my cherished Leica lens.

Anyone know about this bellows?

I use an older Novoflex bellows (BAL-S) regularly, usually with my CL. You can get old ones from many brands in mint condition for less than $100. Just make sure an adapter to L-mount is available. A wide angle gives you relatively high magnifications with relatively short extensions (or, alternatively, very high magnifications at full bellows extension). The downside is that the working distance becomes very small. I therefore avoid wide angle lenses for macro work. I use a Leica Photar 50mm lens and a Schneider-Kreuznach M-Componon 80mm lens with my bellows. Both are designed for magnifications exceeding 1:1. Note that your standard Leica wide angle lens is not meant for such high magnifications.
