ggudinkas Posted September 3, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted September 3, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I purchased a V-Lux 1 earlier this year and liked the camera and its features very much. Then last month, it decided to stop working. First the auto-focus stopped then I received an error message in the viewfinder that I could not clear. I contacted repair in NJ and then told he to send it in which I did. UPS informed me that is was delivered on 8/21. According to repair, they said a letter would be sent out in 2-3 days. Well, it has been two weeks and still no word. I have sent at least three emails just trying to find out if they got it. Â So here I am with no camera and no word on its status. I had expected the Leica rand to be the gold standard but I am now feeling like I should have purchased something else. If someone asked my advise, I would steer them elsewhere. Â If any one from Leica reads this forum. please take note, that you need really need to improve your service to world-class standards.

Veteran Posted September 3, 2007 Share #3  Posted September 3, 2007 If someone asked my advise, I would steer them elsewhere.  One can certainly understand your frustration... But, after comments like this I wouldn't expect them to place you at the top of the list... They may but, would you…? If this happens again and you have purchased through a local reputable dealer; they can return it for you and they’ll be given an in-house repair number from Leica… Your local Leica dealer will have direct or local rep contact to find out the status for you… They’ve only had you camera 8 business days… You will eventually receive an in-house repair number… I am certain a little patience is in order… Veteran
