First impressions of the Raynox DCR-150 which has a native 43mm thread so tidily pops on my Voigtlander 50mm 1.5 v2 with no adapter needed.

After some calibration tests, I find that can use my wrist strap as a measuring stick when set at 1m focus:

Wildflower season is pretty much over now but I will keep the raynox in my pocket and see how I get on ...

Yes, it is pretty much 'spray and pray' in terms of getting the focus right, but that is the case for any macro shot on any camera in my experience.

I should not need to tell about the 90 macro-elmar of course. But that allows macro without life-view.

Although the focussing is not always 100% accuracy (the closest range deviates in my copy).
