likaleica47 Posted September 18, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 18, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I got my D-lux 7 it had a digital zoom activated that went beyond the 75mm setting. Somehow I've turned it off and can't find how to activate it in the manual or n a search on this site. Can someone tell me how to reactivate it please. Also is there a digital manual download as the manual that came with it is not very good.
Advertisement Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Hi likaleica47, Take a look here How To Activate The D-lux 7 Digital Zoom. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted September 19, 2021 I don't have the Dlux7, but this works similarly to other Panaleica cameras. 1. Have the camera in any one of the jpeg modes. 2. Look for something in the menu (probably the recording menu, or some such) for something like iZoom and activate it. This function is far better than other digial camera electronic zooms, which all just throw away pixels at the edges of the sensor. iZoom uses very clever interpolation software to keep the quality remarkably high.

Thank you Stuart that did it. I had the camera set in RAW mode and apparently the digital zoom doesn't work in that mode. Ron
