Posting an image in two threads

Is there a neat way to post an image in two different threads (in both of which it is relevant), without overloading forum storage?

I have just uploaded an image to the Thambar thread; after posting I clicked on the image to get it at full res, right-clicked and copied the URL of the jpg. In the SL2-S photos thread I used the "Other Media" button to paste the URL into the post. It seems to work, but I don't know if it is effectively taking up twice as much space on the server as it needs to.

If the url (unique resource locator) is identical it’s not taking up any more space. I did not know about the “other media” thing … I had never noticed it 😬

sometimes I check in folder "My Attachments" the images to reuse later with "Other Media" insert image from URL.

yes "other media" > insert existing attachment
