Could someone tell me where do I find info about the CL autofocus marker that after moved away from the dead centre, how to make it move  back to the centre quickly?

I understand if the back screen is lit up, then by double tapping the viewfinder, the focusing marker (the little square) will return to the dead centre immediately.   But if the back screen is not turned on, e.g. in viewfinder mode only, then it seems needing to move the focusing marker by the "directional pad" only, and slowly one click at a time...?

Is there any "one step" quick way to move the autofocusing square back in centre while viewing through the viewfinder only?

Thanks in advance 🙏

On other camera systems, that might be by pressing the centre button.

But not on the CL. I think you have already identified the only methods available to re-centre the AF.

That means no faster "one action" to re-centre the focus square when using eyeing through viewfinder, and have to move that by long multiple clicking?   Why?

And is it something theoretically that Leica could correct by giving a firmware update??
