Sigma DC DN 30mm hunting focus?

I've had this lens for a while but not used it extensively, but all of a sudden it's started to hunt when focusing both short and long distances and I'm not sure why.

CL has the latest firmware. The lens has the latest firmware. No other settings have been changed.

Anyone have any clues as to why this appears to have changed?

No Problems at the TL. Focus is fine.

Are you in C-AF mode?  Mine hunts about in C-AF mode with half-press of the shutter but eventually lock focus and fires.  Does it do it when you switch to S-AF?

Low light?  What focus points are activated?  Try single point and put it over high contrast edges.  Still hunting?

Using spot focus and aiming at high contrast subject and it hunted.
