My M-P 240 falls "asleep" when not in use and that's fine but dang I have to push the shutter twice to "wake" it up, causing a wait time that causes me to miss a shot or two. Is this normal? Wake-up should happen with a single press, ready by the time one brings camera from hip to eye. I do it instinctively when approaching a photo-rich environment.
