Thatch2021 Posted August 29, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 29, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I hope I titled this thread correctly but do correct me if I got it wrong. I have a new Leica Q2 and I love it! I love the colors it produces and great sharpness. My question for you is, do you use colored filters to shoot black and white on the Q2? I have been doing photography since 2013 I have gone from Nikon to Fujifilm. It was the color profiles in Fuji simulations that really captured my heart for black and white photography. I am learning and enjoying the journey. Your advise is greatly appreciated! i-Leica Posted August 29, 2021 Share #2 Posted August 29, 2021 (edited) on the Q2 Monochrom... YES with the Q2 (color) you can use (any!!) filter with Silver Efex pro after you get home and work on your pictures. jaapv Posted August 29, 2021 Share #3 Posted August 29, 2021 Never on a colour camera. It is easy enough to simulate the filters (except things like Pol and IR) in postprocessing and if you use an optical colour filter you will increase the noise in one or two colour channels. I just heard this recommendation on Red Dot Forum on YouTube. Your comment confirms this for me. Thanks for your reply! LT
