Ebay costs to list and sell, but an auction mechanism helps you work out and achieve a reasonable market price. As a buyer, I have often felt that the few items of interest to me on this site are overpriced. I guess I should just message an offer to the seller. Jeff S Posted September 6, 2021 Share #6 Posted September 6, 2021 I prefer to buy and sell used gear through reputable dealers with warranty, return policy, service capability, etc. The fees are there for a reason, particularly those dealers that thoroughly inspect gear and get it serviced as needed before sale, either through Leica or DAG. Less hassle and I like to support the dealer and build relationships for future interactions. But I understand why others might prefer cutting out the middleman.
