CL lcd panel won’t work

 The  rear LCD on my CL has suddenly stopped working, after owning it for 6 months. Everything else seems ok, and I can access all menu features through the EVF, but not on the back. Looks like a warranty issue, but has anyone else suffered this problem?

Are you sure that you did not change the menu setting to EVF or EVF extended?

Hi , appreciate the response.  No I checked that earlier and  and it’s set to evf/lcd.

I had a similar issue when my CL was about the same age. First try to clean the little area atthe top of the view finder, that is the sensor to switch between the EVF and LCD. If that doesn't work or you find you you have to clean it frequently, the sensor may be faulty. That was the issue with mine, Leica replaced it on warranty.

 HA!!  That fixed it and you are officially The Man.  I was about to go Old School and start up about my 1971 Nikon F that’s never had this problem,  you could hammer nails with it, etc. while my fancy new red dot camera is already going in for service, yada yada.  I appreciate both of you ✌️
