I own a Leica Q and have purchased the above card, 32GB 95MB/s 10 UHS-1 U3.

Sandisk's box claims it shoots in 4K, yet in the right lower corner of the camera's display, 2K shows, not 4K.

Should it show 4 or 2K?

Please advise and thank you in advance,

Rick

The card does't shoot in any K, that is determined by the camera.   The number you see in the lower right is the approx number of remaining shots before the card is full.  Leica calls it the Picture Counter in my version of the manual... page 244.  Also, the Q doesn't shoot 4K video.  Did you mean the Q2?  If so then my comment about the Picture Counter might not be correct as I was looking at the Q manual.

I should stop here and make the statement I do not take any video with this camera. Mine is a Q not Q2. I have Panasonic equipment with Leica lenses for that format.

I was asking as in the lower right corner there is a 2K. I have yet to identify what that means. In the manual on page 244, located in the lower right hand corner is the number of pictures remaining...How would I change the 2K to the number of pictures remaining.

Sorry for the confusion.

I guess the real question here is, and this is in the manual but without explanation...2K in in the lower right hand corner of the screen...what does it represent?

Also, how do O switch that 2K to the number of pictures remaining?

This number of pictures remaining.
This number will be changed if you take 1K pictures or even more.

As soon as number pictures remaining drops to 999, this number will be shown there. Any number of pictures remaining higher than 1K will be shown as 1/2/3..K…

This is due to limited space on the screen for this info.

Hope this helps.

Also... I assume you are shooting JPEG.   I shoot raw only.   My Q with a 32GB card reports 685.  If I take a picture it changes to 684.  However, If I change the Photo File Format menu item to JPEG the number changes to 2K.  JPEG images are a lot smaller than raw images.  You can fit more on a card.
