Hi all,

I"m wanting to hook this Jupiter-9 M39 mount to my M10M.  I'm planning to use the visioflex to focus and compose.

I'd planned to try to find a step up ring from 39-42 and then throw this into a M42 to M mount adapter I already had, but for the life of me I cannot find a step up ring in stock...anywhere?!?

So, my thought was maybe to try a M39 to M adapter, but all of these try to set your frame lines, which I guess wouldn't harm anything (won't help with 85mm)...right?

Would this be a good candidate?

Urth x Gobe Lens Mount Adapter: Compatible with M39 Lens to Leica M Camera Body (50-75mm Frame Lines)

I can get this by Friday if I order quick....there is a Fotodiox one I can get by Thurs....but I think the Urth is a bit better quality.

I hope to shoot with this one this weekend....any suggestions on this or a better way to mount it?

Just FYI, I just picked up a very new looking MA 35mm camera...I know this thing won't rangefinder couple, but wondering with if I got this mount I could try to zone focus this thing also on the MA?

Thoughts?

Thank you in advance,

cayenne

Hello Cayenne,

If you happen to have one of these Jupiter 9, you can have some idea of 'Jupiter Glow' ...

link to his website in french

Thank you. I"m afraid I don't read French...not sure what they were saying there....but images looked interesting.

I got ahold of one of the old M39 mount Black Glossy paint ones...if it's real it is a bit of a slightly rare transition one between the silver M39 to black (not glossy) M42 versions.

But I need to know a way to get it mounted to my M10M (and possibly even the MA).

This is not a good adapter in that it resembles the old Voigtländer trimmed-down adapter. I have a Jupier-9 too. Without the full rim, my M240 does not go in life-view.

As far as I understand, it might have the  recess just where the 6-bit coding should be;

- there are other adapters with a full rim, that have recesses and allow filling in the pits to recognize the lens.
