First off I'm sorry to hear that your M10 was stolen .... 🤬

Well done on getting an MP.

You mentioned that you'll have to settle for a 3rd party lens.

A couple of questions (and not any of my business) BUT

Did you lose any lenses with the M10?

Insurance payout?

Welcome to The Leica Forums

My insurance were jerks to start with, but eventually agreed to cover the body…. Which was specified anyway, so they had no choice really. The lenses though were a different story. I had a Summarit 50mm and a 7artisans 35mm. Both got taken, and as they were unspecified, I couldn’t claim both. I had only picked up the Summarit a couple of days before, and I couldn’t prove ownership so the claim hasn’t been approved for that one.

All in all… poop happens, and my insurance coverage is now better, and with a different company

That’s unfortunate re specified items.

I’d have argued that the camera and body are purchased as seperate items. I always buy with a receipt supplied, but then again I’ve never purchased other than bricks and mortar store. As your in Perth have you tried Camera Electronic for 2nd hand lenses. You can also try Camera Exchange here in Melbourne *they ship and always have a good selection of Leica glass at better prices, including shipping.

If you need a FLCM to check a lenses your interested in, pm me and if I have time I can check for you. I have always trusted CamEx and have bought and traded with John & Ross since the early 80’s.
