SL2-S user here. I am really tempted to buy the 28mm Elmarit to use with the camera. However, I'm wondering if the lens is actually TOO SMALL to ergonomically and easily focus? I know the size is perfect for the M but does it balance weird on the bigger SL2-S? Thoughts? Pictures of the lens on the camera would be appreciated too. Thank you!

It works well with the SL cameras. I actually use the version 4 (preasph) which in size is much like the Summicron M. It’s older (from the 90s) but I found the quality good enough and never wanted to replace it by the latest.

You could also consider the R version if you want a closer minimal distance.

Reviving this thread. I have the Elmarit M 28mm ASPH and while it is stunningly sharp and clear on the M9, it leaves a fair bit to be desired on the Panasonic S5. Does anyone know how well it performs on the SL2S?

I would prefer to be able to use it from f2.8 - f8 without issue, and having to buy an Elmarit R 28 V2 seems like crazy redundancy just to get Elmarit 28 quality on a mirrorless camera, SL2S or S5 regardless.
