What color profile are you using in LR when importing SL2 photos? Adobe Color? Custom or third party profiles?

I'm still experimenting with color profiles to apply to my imported SL2/SL2-S photos.  Are you starting with the Adobe Color profile and tweaking from there?  I tried the free profiles from Red Dot Forum but TBH I wasn't crazy about them.  Sometimes I will use a different Adobe profile like Landscape, and sometimes I use third party profiles/presets (ones I currently like are JW Medium Format profiles).  I also read about "Cobalt" profiles, and then again I am still considering learning how to use C1 to process my photos and LR for DAM and special tasks C1 doesn't do like combining Panos and HDR.  C1 has never come easily to me though.

I had the SL2 for a few months, then switched to the SL2-S. I found in both cases that Adobe Standard was a good starting point, with Adobe Color being a bit more [brash/realistic/bright - pick your own adjective to indicate more saturation] - both are OK. With previous Leicas (M9, M240, CL, TL2) I have bought soon after launch, and found I needed to make my own profiles, though later Adobe profiles have evolved to acceptable quality. I haven't needed to do that with these two (even though I got the SL2-S at launch).

That said, I haven't used either for landscapes, and it is usually vegetation greens that cause me problems in other cameras - I dial down yellow and a bit of green in the CL with a simple preset.

I don't like using pre-cooked profiles in general. If I can't get the look I want with the controls in LR, then I see that as a defect in my skills which should be corrected by trying again, not by buying someone else's approximation.

I use mostly the Adobe "landscape" profile, would love to see other profiles available as you can do in C1, but as I understand it, LR/ACR only will let you browse for a user created profile, where as C1 allows you to consider all of it's profiles.  The main issue I have with LR/ACr, no matter what the profile used is the shadow recovery is very limited, and images load into LR/ACR with very harsh shadows.  C1 allows two things that can help on this, the use of the "liner" profile, and their shadow recovery is 100% better than LR/ACR.  C1's Prores profile for the SL2 is a very good starting point.

Perhaps you are mixing up profile. I think RDF only serves presets on existing adobe color profiles.

Occasionally I use ColorChecker created profile, but it is not always usable for everything. It is most useful when shooting fashion when a specific color does not show up correctly.

I find most C1 profiles to be very good, colors are little more intense than Leica JPG but accurate. LR/ACR are more adobes interpretation and you have to like that look. It is often different that is was in reality, but it can look good too.

For raw-files from my M10-R I get the option to chose a Leica M10 color profile which is my favorite. Sadly, nothing like that exists for the SL2 (or at least I can't find it).

Does anyone know whether there is a way to use the M10 color profile on SL2 raw files?
