Advertisement Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Hi Roy Newport, Take a look here SF 60 flash . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
albireo_double Posted July 10, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 10, 2021 (edited) As far as I know, it only works in HSS in the TTL mode (and it sometimes doesn't fire in TTL mode, because the camera thinks that the picture is "sufficiently lit"). This was discussed here on this forum in the past, several members complained about this shortcoming. This is one of the reasons I avoid Leica branded Nissin speedlites and make do with a Profoto A1 and an NDA filter. Leica evidently don't care. davidmknoble Posted July 16, 2021 Share #3 Posted July 16, 2021 I have used the SF 64 flash for a long time and the HSS works well in any mode - on the M, SL and S series. It’s bigger and it has an odd interface on the back (I would prefer dials, but touch screen works). I do not use direct flash often, mostly bounce up or behind, so the extra power provides good soft lighting. I do not know much about the SF 60, but if you need the HSS, you can probably by an SF 64 used for a reasonable price (If you want to stay with Leica flashes)
