Q_lux Posted July 5, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) As a fan of old glass on digital bodies, I experiment a lot with adapters and second hand oddities. What once has been considered as a flaw is now a modern composing element: reflection, ghosting, abberration, bokeh, stars, vignetting ... you name it. On an early Sunday morning dog walk with a recently acquired Voigtlander 15mm, I took below picture and apparently managed to record quite some of the described flaws. For evident reasons, some are there and some other not (or not visible). There might be no bokeh at all and vignetting is not visible due to the subject, but there is another one I'd name "digital bokeh" (correct me if I'm wrong). That purple square pattern in the left part of the image I interpret as a reflection of the sensor or its protective layer. So even all this is only air in front and between the lenses and the sensor, reflecting each other and adding to the composition all by itself, I find it highly interesting that the optical flaws of yesteryear now find their modern (unexpected) siblings. Open for discussion, education and right naming of all one can see ... Best. Jos Welcome, dear visitor! jankap Posted July 5, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2021 Why don't you simply make pictures with your equipment? Some pictures will be better, hang those on the wall. The others you can save or delete.

But sometimes I get that itching 😉 But then again, this maybe was the wrong question in the wrong forum? Oh and by the way, I very much like this picture. Don't you? 😇 Cheers.
