ianman Posted June 28, 2021 Share #2 Posted June 28, 2021 Love it! I’ve always wanted to hire a narrow boat and explore the canals! One day...
andybarton Posted June 28, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted June 28, 2021 I used to go on the canals a couple of times a year, all through grammar school and while at university and we took the kids on the Kennet & Avon when they were early teenagers. It's a great holiday and a great way of life. We keep talking about buying one. Apart from the fact that we don't have any money, it's a great idea. I'm going to book a holiday on one next year the Staffs and Worcs canal would be a great place to start.
stuny Posted June 28, 2021 Share #4 Posted June 28, 2021 Lovely. When a dear friend got married in Ware she had the evening reception (there was an afternoon reception, too on land, but the boat was where we danced) on a narrow boat traveling on the River Lee.
