Photo shooting for mother and child

Soon I have to make a photo shoot of a mother and her 3 years kid. The kid is active.

What will be the best photo tips?

I m thinking about exposure 5.6

What kind of AF focus point will be the best? Multi field, spot or Field metering?

And what kind of Exposure metering will be the best: Multi-field?

Set the thing to face recognition and multifield metering and a fastish shutterspeed and forget about those aspects. Set the camera to f 8.0 and 1/250 and auto-ISO. Don't rely on DOF , you need critical focus on the eyes and DOF is just a safety net.
Above all: don't fiddle with the camera when shooting - that is the best way to lose the concentration and momentum of the shoot. Make sure you have everything set up correctly and tested before you start.
If you have to ask: concentrate on content instead of technicalities, practice on your cat or dog playing - a lot.
Model management is the way to get good results, get the kid interested in something to get a nice expression, concentrate on mother-child interaction, things like that, to avoid a series of boring snaps.

When I put the camera on face recognition than the camera will chose one face, correct?

It will revert to multifield if it cannot find a face. If you are shooting a double subject, move around to keep both in the same plane of focus as  much as possible, unless you want a prominent foreground subject (kid) with a blurred background subject (mother) , In that case get on the floor and open up wide.

BTW, don't forget that you can correct focus fast by half-press and focus ring.
