Leica 24-90 - does it make sense on the SL2-S???

You can see it in another way: Since with the SL2-s there is less romm to crop (compared to the SL2) you might want the longer reach of th 24-90.

With the SL2 24-70 is maybe long enough since with 4/MP you can allways crop a little bit.

I would recommend to choose based on your needs of focal lengths and if you are willing to carry a bigger lens in order to get 90mm.

 

I find 90mm pretty usefull for portrait and family images. By the way the 24-105/4.0 Pana is also a nice combination of reach and smaller size. Ok, its f4.0.
