a.noctilux Posted June 4, 2021 Share #2 Β Posted June 4, 2021 (edited) Hello Samacha, As long time user of those lenses, I have only few comments : - they are of same period, so the whole rendering is "same" in normal pictures, at same apertures with small differences - they are old now, so they may develop some flaws on the glasses which can or not be corrected - finding a flawless lens is better way ( or sending for CLA if need be ) to use without fear - I had seen some Summicron Rigid with flaws on lenses and/or mechanism more often than Summilux "II" (still use three of those of different periods) ... - if we are picky, looking at straight lines Summilux "II" more geometric distorsion than Rigid - in my thousands of pics with 'Lux, I see some curvature of field more often than with Rigid Β - anyway, each one, if in good shape, doesn't break promises of good pics, if we learn to know their flaws (if exist) π Wiki page for 'Lux II Summicron and co. https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/52707-collapsible-summicron-and-type-i-rigid-summicron-comparison-shots/ more nice read here 'Lux I or II Β Edited June 4, 2021 by a.noctilux
