I've been wanting the apo-telyt for a while, but here is a photo from earlier this morning with a 1953 Hektor...it's not that bad! (taken on an M10).

I have the goggled 135mm f2.8 Elamrit for the very occasional times I want to shoot long (the lens was dirt cheap) and being so long, I will shoot it on my M10P with the Visoflex, so and issues with focus shift are not really an issue.  I have tried it on my M9M with the diopter and it produces nice images, but just a bit harder for old eyes.   Yeah the goggles look weird on a M10 but it is a good way to get the length you want cheaply without breaking the bank.  If you decide the length suits your style, you can upgrade to the f3.4 or a L Mount lens that is equivalent.  Gotta say tho, it is surely has that lovely Leica glow

Yes, I agree, it does perform well. I considered it for my M3, but ruled it out on weight and bulk. As I have written elsewhere, the contemporary 135 mm Elmar is an excellent alternative.

I have the Tele-Elmar, and the very reasonable price for such a high quality lens makes buying one a no-brainer if you have a use for it. But if I were being paid to take photos inside a (potentially dimly lit) church and had an SL2-S then (sacrilege!) I might look seriously at something like the Sigma 135mm f/1.8 in L-mount, which could improve your chances of nailing focus and is more than 2 stops faster.
