However, they seem to have been unobtainable for a long time, unfortunately.

Good to know, thanks - I'll start taking better care of mine!

The currently seem to be available at B&H, Amazon, etc.   About $20.  Looks a bit different than the one I bought years ago.

You are right. Last time I looked it seemed like a  discontinued product. I have several versions and the thin one is equally useful. Accuracy depends on quality control, not thickness of material.

Michael Tapes, the same guy who produces the LensAlign tool, has updated the WhiBal products over the years, now up to version G7, I think.

I have an old one, but stays in a drawer in lieu of ColorChecker tool, which includes a white balance method in addition to broader color profiling.

Jeff

H seems to have reactivated his production since I last looked. I still find the small cards handy, but prefer the ColorChecker for serious work.

Yup.  I was very happy with the WhiBal.  However, when I finally bought a ColorChecker Passport the WhiBal got relegated to the "old photo equipment not currenty in use" shelf.  Don't need to carry both and the ColorChecker does a bit more.
