Hello everyone,

Here is my first foray into M8 world with my new camera. I came from basically zero experience & am learning quite a bit. Here is the first gallery of shots that I used with my M8. All of the pictures were taken with my Leica Summicron-M 1:2/35 ASPH. lens.

I used Lightroom to process some of the pictures & modified a few where I screwed up quite a bit. I'm still getting used to Lightroom but I do really like the interface. I didn't use Photoshop with any of these as I'm still learning how to use it beyond cropping!!!

Here is the gallery...pardon the spelling error that I will fix but I didn't want to reprocess the pictures in Lightroom & have to wait. I'm lazy.

Buenos Aires and Uruguay

You'll notice some of the pictures could use some work & I'm blaming that to pilot error...I learned SO much during this round of the basics (light, aperture, shutter speed, etc that my later pictures were so much better than the first ones. I really didn't know what I was doing but by reading, practicing & getting great advice in the forum (believe me...I've paid attention!) I know my next round will be better

Anyways...if anyone has any comments or suggestions on how to improve these....let me know!

Thanks again everyone!!

-Mike

La concha de la lora... Ni Buenos Aires, ni el puente Calatrava, ni cabo Polonio, ni ná de ná!!! :D :D :D

In other words, your link doesn't work :)

Go to Plaza de Mayo early morning and late afternoon (office entry/exit time) and take pictures from floor level. Get them at 1/8 sec to have some blur in the motion and try not to move the camera for effect. If it is lightly raining, much better...

Good pictures, keep shooting...

Just keep playing and share your next set as well.

Now I must go get something to eat since you made me hungry :D

Cheers,

Yes, I gotta agree! 39 is a real keeper. Print it up big and show it off!

Great work Mike. Thanks for sharing!

Best,

Ron
