wda Posted April 28, 2021 Share #4 Â Posted April 28, 2021 Welcome, A Leica M2 will have been used by previous owners. Is there any evidence of damage in and around the bayonet mount? Are you depressing the release button before trying to unlock the lens?
plaidshirts Posted April 28, 2021 Share #5 Â Posted April 28, 2021 Hello, If it's more than a firm turn, you may want to have it looked at to make sure nothing is bent or off too much. My M2 is tighter than any other M bodies I own or have owned but was told by DAG that it was within Leica tolerance.
johnkunstadter Posted April 28, 2021 Share #6  Posted April 28, 2021 Greetings. I have an M3 which had a similar problem, solved by replacement of the flange ring spring when I sent the camera for a CLA.
