Michael Geschlecht Posted April 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 19, 2021 Hello Henry, Nice photo. Do you remember the F stop, ISO & location? Adding them makes a photo more interesting & more educational. By the way, did you use a tripod? Best Regards, Michael

Best Regards, Michael This photos’s EXIF has nearly all the shooting information including geolocation. The only item missing was the lens ID, either because the lens was not six bit coded - or because a third-party lens adapter was used.
Michael Geschlecht Posted April 19, 2021 Share #5 Posted April 19, 2021 Hello Henry, By any chance is the lens a 11730/11830? Best Regards, MIchael

Best Regards, MIchael I really don't know but here is the Ser # 1713920 if that is any help. I pick it up for only $100 in excellent condition. no haze or marks on the glass at All. Here is another test shot taken at the light . I can't complain about the contrast and vivid colors this old lens produces. Can't justify spending more for a newer model since shooting with the Sl.😄 Also here is a shot taken in the field. ISO 100 1250sec at f4 I used a inexpensive Fotasy LM-LL adapter , Theses shots were taken in Rancho Santa Monica CA . Here is a shot of the lens on the SL Welcome, dear visitor! Michael Geschlecht Posted April 19, 2021 Share #7 Posted April 19, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Henry, Interestingly the designation 11730/11830 for screw mount & bayonet mount respectively 90mm F4 lenses is used on both the earlier 4 element design that you have & your lens's 1962 replacement that has 3 elements. Similar to the earlier "fat" & later "thin" 90mm F2.8 Tele-Elmarits both having the same model number 11800. By the way, what do you think of the F11 as you focus? Best Regards, MIchael Edited April 19, 2021 by Michael Geschlecht
Henry Taylor Posted April 19, 2021 Author Share #8 Posted April 19, 2021 Thanks Michael I was using the 11830 it was a bayonet mount but not sure what you are referring to " F11 as you focus."
Michael Geschlecht Posted April 19, 2021 Share #9 Posted April 19, 2021 (edited) Hello Henry, I am writing about where the "!!"s are on the lens barrel. Not the "11"s on the aperture ring. Best Regards, Michael Edited April 19, 2021 by Michael Geschlecht
