Hi

Looking to buy an M10, i'm new to Leica and rangefinders so i'm asking potentially dumb questions 🙂

1) Does anyone know the wake time from sleep on the M10(r), i've googled but can only find some scant info about the M240, some are saying it's around 3 seconds.  Has this been improved on the M10(r)?

2) With regards to the viewfinder framelines, are these automatically set when a lens is mounted and can it accidentally be changed by knocking the lever under the viewfinder (I assume that's what it's for)

Thanks for any help, i'll post more dumb questions as I think of them 🙂

10 don't worry. If you tap the shutter when picio

1. Wake up time is about 1 1/2 seconds - too much for my taste, but You can handle it by setting auto-off to 10 min.

2. Yes and yes.

1. Wake-up time can easily be avoided by tapping the shutter as you pick up the camera - by the time you have it at your eye and focused the camera will be ready to shoot. Remember that there is no AF or EVF to wake up - they are not electronic.

2. Framelines are set automatically by the lens, can be shifted by pushing the lever but the lever is spring loaded to return to the correct framelines as soon as your release it.
