RoySmith Posted April 8, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I will often download a photo from the forum, view it’s EXIF data, and then delete it. It would be cool if a way to view EXIF data was programmed into the forum. Roy
Advertisement Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Hi RoySmith, Take a look here Viewing Image EXIF Data. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted April 8, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2021 I agree, Roy. I know that a lot of members use the 'Save for Web' option in Photoshop, which strips the EXIF info before pictures are uploaded, so it wouldn't be available for everyone's pictures of course. Pete.

Yes, and some lenses are not coded. Leica non-coded lenses can often be selected in camera, but other manufacturers lenses cannot be selected in the cameras, so their EXIF data is missing. I have written an AppleScript Droplet which allows one to choose a lens from a drop down list to enter the lens data into EXIF, but haven’t had need of it for several years. I’m @ bit OCD about this. Being able to view the data that is there would be a timesaver.
