Bumping up this thread to see if there are any updates/rumors after yesterday's firmware updates :)

No RAW in this release.

As  a side-note, the more I use ProRes RAW, the less I like it. The main issue is that FCP isn't a good environment for colour grading, and Resolve doesn't read ProRes RAW. So for one project where we used ProRes RAW, we needed to open the elements in FCP, transcode to ProRes 4444 XQ, and import that into Resolve.

I guess it works if you only use FCP, and only do minimal colour correction, but the end-to-end workflow is a pain otherwise.

That being said, I would love to have access to BMRAW with a Leica. It has the advantage that it can be read as-is in Resolve (and Premiere and AVID).

Interesting thought. I am also eagerly waiting for ProResRaw to come to the SL platform, just to see whether it is worth it.

I think the workflow still needs further improvements in order to be a viable option. Otherwise, its currrent limitations make it hard to use. For this would be:

- Supported lens correction profiles for final cut

- Better noise reduction in final cut, potentially automatically being applied as starting point.

On the other hand, it does not seem to complicated, so my bet is ProResRaw as well as BMR will be supported down the road. The SL typically has a 4 year life-cycle, so maybe it will come around 2 years after it's original release.
