Jeff S Posted March 27, 2021 Share #2 Â Posted March 27, 2021 David Farkas (Leica Miami) wrote early on that IBIS contributed 5.5 stops, and over 6 combined with OIS. https://www.reddotforum.com/content/2019/11/leica-sl2-announced-47mp-ibis-cine4k60-and-more/ Â Jeff
Hendo Posted March 27, 2021 Author Share #3  Posted March 27, 2021 Thanks, Jeff! Doesn´t seem that it this have been tested according to CIPA standards though. Farkas writes it "can ble more than 6 stops".
scott kirkpatrick Posted March 27, 2021 Share #4  Posted March 27, 2021 Do your own tests. The standards are not realistic, but they do serve to keep marketing claims from going unchecked. The CIPA standard applies to shooting test targets handheld (in standard simulated hands) with a 50 mm lens at a distance of 2 meter. If that's your use case, great.
