I used the Q grip for about 2 months on my Q2 as the Q2 thumb grip was not available.
It fitted except the round cut out was not perfectly aligned, but 10 minutes with a file and a protection from tape will make it fit almost perfectly.
Mine was a black painted brass thumb grip and I don't know what manufacturer made it.
Just try it and see then how well it fit and if you are able to modify it slightly.

I am talking about thumv grip that you put on hotshoe

As I wrote, the one I had on the Q fit also the Q2 with a small gap on the round part.
However, there are cheaper solutions than Leica Thumb Grip, so I think using the Q grip makes not too much sense.

After a lot of searching I found 4 solutions for my Leica q2 in a single housing, protection, grip, discretion and location thanks to your department for the apple airtag. The best of all is that it barely adds volume and weight.

I’ve been tempted by that case. It’s a 3D printed case available on Etsy from a guy called Kapsalis3dshop. Does a version with or without the Airtag slot.

I decided I was happy with my Lim’s case though.

I bought it there, I'm very happy with it.
