Advertisement (gone after registration)

I think I've read somewhere that the 50mm APO was made with high resolution sensors in mind.

Is it 'waste' of a good lens using it for shooting film? Tri-X and Portra 400 for example?

How good is the 50mm APO when shooting film? Do you have some examples when shot with film?

+1, he’s an excellent photographer, who also exemplifies what the APO can achieve in combo with both colour and B&W films.

I wouldn’t say wasted, but maybe not able to extract all the potential. Tri-X specifically has pretty low resolution.


Not that that should prevent you from using that Tri-X, with or without the APO. But one might like TMY more...
