Edgar Hong Kong Posted March 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, Lets say I want to spend a day of travel / street photography and I want to worry only about the Aperture. I would set an automatic ISO, but I would limit its maximum to 3200 to make sure I don’t get a lot of noise in the image. I would also set the Shutter speed in automatic and I would set a minimum of 1/250 in the menus to ensure all the subjects in my travel photography are froozen and there is no motion blur. Then, I go out shooting. I shoot using only the viewfinder, screen off, with no other info than the image, because I am suposed to have a limited ISO and a limited shutter speed, making my shoots “safe”. I only need to worry about exposure, which I see in the viewfinder, and I can play around the aperture. now lets say I Want to underexpose a shoot by setting a f5 or f8 aperture, but the camera won’t let me, and will drop the shutter speed below the minimum i’ve choosen, in order to make sure the picture is exposed. this does not make sense to me. What am I doing wrong? 😅 thanks in advanced
