rjsphd Posted March 14, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I need a new Arca-compatible plate for my M10+Grip. If I didn't use the grip religiously I would get the RRS L-bracket. Any suggestions? If there was a reason to go with a particular one vs. a generic plate, I am sure this group would know. Thanks in advance.

Gelatino Posted March 14, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 14, 2021 I'm waiting for the upcoming plate for Ms series by https://www.kamerakraft.com/product-page/kameracraft-lm10grip-v1-0. I know one here ( may be more) has already the plate for analog Ms and seems to be happy with it. I had the opportunity to handle a sample of the new one for M10 and I pre ordered it as it fills my wishes: access flap to battery/SDcard, lightness, top quality. I have no financial interest to this advice, only wishing to share experience.
rjsphd Posted March 16, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted March 16, 2021 Thanks Gelatino for the heads up. However, I am happy with using the Leica handgrip attached to my M10. I am simply curious if anyone has found an Arca-type plate that works well on the Leica handgrip. I have an L-bracket that works OK, but its a little lightweight for my taste. rramesh Posted March 17, 2021 Share #4 Posted March 17, 2021 You can buy the RRS base plate alone without the grip or L section.
rjsphd Posted March 18, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted March 18, 2021 The RRS base does not fit the Leica handgrip. RRS doesn't have a solution. I guess I will stick with my L-bracket.
TealWayFilms Posted March 27, 2021 Share #6 Posted March 27, 2021 M10 grip and plate This is a replacement grip and arca compatible horizontal and optional vertical plate. I use this instead of the leica grip. Although the Leica grip looks nicer, I find the RRS grip is extremely comfortable.
kangaroo2012 Posted March 30, 2021 Share #7 Posted March 30, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had the RRS L bracket for my M9 and found it very comfortable to use. Unfortunately it does not fit the M10 so I bought the Leica base and handgrip. I almost never use a tripod with the M10 so have not needed an L bracket. Now if you find a suitable pplate for the CL in a Leica leather half case I would be interested. Cheers Philip
LeicaR10 Posted March 30, 2021 Share #8 Posted March 30, 2021 Rjsphd, I sent you a PM to help with a solution that worked for me using the superb Leica M10 Hand grip. r/ Mark
rjsphd Posted March 30, 2021 Author Share #9 Posted March 30, 2021 (edited) Thanks, Mike/ LeicaR10 for a great answer. Once again, RRS doesn't make anything that works with the Leica handgrip. But this plate was recommended by Mike and Leica of Miami https://coloradotripod.com/collections/accessories/products/universal-arca-plates https://leicastoremiami.com/products/breakthrough-photography-40mm-universal-arca-plate-for-mirrorless-cameras-like-sony-fuji I ordered one. I hope the problem is solved Edited March 30, 2021 by rjsphd
