Advertisement Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Hi Keith (M), Take a look here Heading West at High Speed. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted March 10, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 10, 2021 I missed getting a couple of photos of these new trains on Sunday morning when out for a stroll with a friend. The line nearest me is not electrified, so these Hitachi units run on diesel here. | also missed an HST 125 - need to get a few photos of them before they disappear from the main line... Lovely photo Keith.

Had to do a little research Keith (I really need to talk to a former Railwayman pal, but he;s in full isolation at present) so a little more information can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_800
Keith (M) Posted March 10, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted March 10, 2021 Thanks for the link, Graham. According to WiKi, the train in the picture (#800319, a Class 800/3) being a nine-car set the generator units are located underneath cars 2, 3, 5, 7 & 8. Every day is a school day...
