Advertisement Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Hi David Monkhouse, Take a look here purple heather and blue sky. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chris_livsey Posted August 25, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 25, 2007 Second by far the stronger. Maybe a slightly lower viewpoint just thought that thistle could come into play, but then I know you loose some heather. Classic composition.
stuny Posted August 26, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 26, 2007 David - Lovely colors and detail in both, but #2 is much stronger because of the angle making it exciting, vs. the more static #1.
David Monkhouse Posted August 26, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted August 26, 2007 Thankyou both for the kind observations. I have to agree that No 2 is my prefered shot though I have always tried to work on the principal that one should be led into the picture whereas the wall and fence are leading you out. I must admit I never noticed the thistle and you are quite right, it might have made a good focal point. Anyway many thanks and it's all about learning so Upwards and onwards,
