Hello all,

Wondering if anyone has come up with creative ways to customize the SL2-S. Since I just started using it, I have a learning curve anyway, so I was trying to come up with a way to really take advantage of the layout and get away from the crazy features of my last system (Sony A series). I'm 99.99% stills shooter so not presently interested in custom video settings. If I start to get comfortable with the stills customization and want to move to video, like they say in The Terminator, "I'll be back!"

I was thinking that one efficient way would be to put the focus features and the metering mode on the front two buttons near the lens because they are "lens-y" things, and then put the ISO and perhaps the Drive mode on the two little buttons on the top plate because they are more like film-y settings - below those buttons and inside the camera would be where the film reel might be ;)

That leaves the button near the viewfinder. I was thinking film mode because it controls the way that you see things if you shoot in JPG or RAW+JPG?

Do people usually change the default settings for the top or rear dial or the joystick? What about the function button? Do you guys leave that set to toggle the different views on the rear display screen.
