HarryS Posted February 22, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, I´m using the Q2M, since it has only monochrom, do you B&W experts consider calibrating your computer monitor? If so, is there a special technique or do you just use a SpyderX for example and that´s it? best regards, Harry

jaapv Posted February 22, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 22, 2021 Spyder or X-Rite system are industry standard, or use a self-calibrating screen. Yes it is as essential for B&W as it is for colour photography. https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/monitor-calibration.htm
PhotoCruiser Posted February 27, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 27, 2021 My first calibration device was the Datacolor Spyder, now i have a X-Rite 1Studio. Both work fine and do the trick that the laptop screen show the same image as my external Benq PD3200. In this moment the X-Rite does not work under Big Sur but i guess X-Rite will fix that soon.
