Can't connect to Q2 Monochrom on Android devices

Bluetooth connects with my Android device, but when the wifi popup comes up and I tap on "join WIFI," the app claims pairing was successful though it's not connected. No photos show up, and there is troubleshooting info on how to set pairing mode and how to restart bluetooth on my device. Any ideas what kind of a raindance I need to do to get this to work. Not a good experience, this being my first Leica.

Tested with latest Fotos app on two Android 10 devices.

First thing you need to know is: the app is a mess and Leica claims to be working on improvements.... well.one of these days as I was told that would be beginning of January 2021

You can ask for support using the app features (menu)

There is a thread that talks about Leica Foto app

I think that a quick workaround was to erase the pairing and try again  - make you are fully updated. I got it to work but it's not a seamless operation

Updated to the newest version of the app, which claims to have fixed the issue. It hasn't.

Now I get successful connection notification on my Android device, but get connection failed on my Q2 Monochrom. No connection is established in the end.

Any workarounds to try?

Another app update, no improvement, tried on two (edit: three) devices.

Maybe try updating the camera firmware and/or resetting the camera to factory settings.
