wlaidlaw Posted February 11, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 11, 2021 The writer would not be a true modern journalist unless he got some of his facts wrong in the article. What is not clear in the article is: Has Kodak re-started sensor manufacture or are the award winning new sensors made by ON Semiconductor and marketed under the Kodak brand? I would imagine Truesense had some sort of moratorium for future sensor manufacture by Kodak, in their purchase agreement of Kodak's sensor business in 2012. Einst_Stein Posted February 11, 2021 Share #4 Posted February 11, 2021 Another Life Time Achievement Award? It's typical that many conferences give Life Time Achievement Award to those who deserve it when or after they retired.

This belated award is for inventing a technology, not for producing a product. The Emmys (TV) are similar to the Oscars (motion pictures), and both include a category for "outstanding achievement in technology or engineering." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_%26_Engineering_Emmy_Award Also, since the award is for CMOS sensors, it has little to do with the Kodak CCDs in the M8/M9.
